What is the accessibility like on the property??

Pepper Creek Cabin is located in a secluded set back off of the beach. It is the most accessible cabin from the drop-off beach, and avoids the steep stairs and trails. The Mountain Lodge, The Ledge, and Fox Den Cabin are located on a 150′ cliff overlooking Resurrection Bay. You must ascend 84 steps in 4 staircases and a short 30-yard trail to arrive at these cabins- plus a breathtaking panoramic view of the entire bay. Wolf Ridge Cabin is 500′ further up the mountain from the lodge and requires a 20+ minute hike to reach.

Those with cabins up the cliff (all except Pepper Creek) should consider fitness levels and be prepared to be self reliant, as you will need to carry all of your belonging up the stairs and trail with you.

What activities are available on the property?

Granite Point is an adventurer’s paradise. There is no shortage of things to explore during your stay here. We provide complimentary use of kayaks and paddle boards. We supply PFDs, paddles, spray skirts, and additional safety gear you may need.

From our beach you can explore tide pools and sea caves during the low tide. Additionally, the fishing from the shore is incredible. You can fish from the beach or our kayaks, and have a shot at catching King, Silver, or Pink Salmon, Halibut, or Rockfish.

We also maintain a hiking trail that takes you into the alpine above Resurrection Bay.

Need a break from being outside? Each cabin is stocked with games and books for your enjoyment.

Are children allowed on the property?

Children are allowed on the property, however, the main lodge, Fox Den, and The Ledge are all near a cliff side without a fence or railing. Parents must be prepared to watch children very closely in these areas. Children are not allowed to play near the cliffsides.

Are pets allowed on the property?

Granite Point does allow pets on the property ($20 pet fee). Please note that though your cabin is private, it is in proximity to other guests. Please consider whether your dog interacts well with strangers and other dogs while booking.

We follow Leave No Trace and Pack-In Pack-Out principles, meaning that solid waste must be picked up and carried out when you leave.

Are there bears on the property?

While rarely seen on the property, they are native to the area. They are seen most frequently on the hill sides in May when they come out of hibernation or fishing at the various salmon streams that empty into Resurrection Bay. When hiking in bear country keep your head up watching for any activity and make noise (clap or sing) to alert bears to your presence. Please consider bringing bear spray for any excursions you may go on.

Water at The Mountain Lodge is double filtered rain water. The Ledge, Fox Den and Wolf Ridge cabins have rain water collection barrels that gravity feed into the kitchen sink for dish washing and hand washing.
